"Only as high as I reach can I grow,
only as far as I seek can I go,
only as deep as I look can I see,
as much as I dream can I be."

KAREN RAVN

IRINA KONSTANTOS was born September 15, 1975 in Beltsy, Moldova. Humble origins to be sure but thru a love of western music and film dreams of pursuing a life in North America took shape.

On February 4, 1996 she arrived in Toronto, Canada with not even a basic knowledge of English. All she had with her was one suitcase and a new diary. The old one stayed in Beltsy.

Through hard work, commitment and total immersion she became fluent in English within a year. She worked odd jobs, took courses and continued her affair with music and film and somewhere along the line had a son.

To some it may have seemed her training and education was in cohesive. She studied interior design and fashion at The International Academy of Design and later advanced Aesthetics at the Chellsey Institute of Aesthetics all the while being an active and working model for one of the top modeling agencies in Toronto - Sherrida Personal Mgmt Inc. (www.sherrida.com).

Irina has done several TV commercials and print ads and can be seen regularly across Canada as a model on The Shopping Channel but as exciting as that all sounds for a young woman who still has not been in this country for 15 years nothing has kindled her fire as much as her founding of The Entertainment Academy...

She sincerely hopes she can offer constructive help to women trying to get into similar fields of study and employment but she also truly believes the lessons she has learned can be inspirational to young women regardless of the dreams they choose to pursue.

MAIA VDOVICEN was born in Beltsy, Moldova on May 15, 1982. Influenced by her older sister she too was fascinated by western culture from afar and openly dreamt of the day she could find her way to this side of the world. When Irina successfully immigrated to Canada Maia was still only 14 years old but she knew that her dream was suddenly possible.

Maia focused most of her study time on English language development as well as business training courses majoring in computers and marketing. She rightfully believed this skill set would more easily be applied to any future career she may have in Canada. Finally on august 5, 2002 Maia and her mom arrived at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport as approved permanent residents of Canada. It was the happiest day of her life. Around this time Maia decided she wanted to find a more creative and fulfilling career, so she enrolled at The School Of Makeup Art (SOMA).

While studying there she signed on with Sherrida Personal Mgmt Inc...The same modeling agency her sister had been working with. Though only committing on a part- time basis she too was able to secure high profile booking on The Shopping Channel. At the same time upon graduation with honors from SOMA she became an in demand makeup artist specializing in film as well as weddings and special occasions. She also created a niche for herself helping young models prepare for test shoots, auditions and on set.

As word of mouth of this special "niche" spread the idea of The Entertainment Academy was born. Together the two sisters realized they shared an accumulated skill set that could help a lot of young women dreaming of a career in a variety of entertainment and modeling fields. They both agreed that this would be a fulfilling career.
